Bespoke newborn photography training
It’s a small world! Jiyaa contacted me from Mumbai in India and requested a truly bespoke training course. Together we looked at where Jiyaa was currently at with both her photography and her business plans and then we formulated a five day intensive training course.
Jiyaa started off shadowing me on a shoot and then gradually taking over with the next until she was confident to manage a full shoot on her own, and I think you’ll agree she did a great job. We spent a day covering different lighting, including maternity lighting and we also spent a day thoroughly covered editing in both Lightroom and Photoshop.
“Training with Elli was my dream come true. It was not all that I had imagined but much more.
The sessions were carefully crafted pertaining to my areas of improvement. They were extremely enjoyable and fun in Elli’s company and it was amazing how she broke down each aspect of photography and simplified it further for better understanding the subject and grasping it’s nuances with ease. The hands on practical experience was enriching indeed. With Elli by my side, I believed I could. And this is the sense of confidence that an individual needs, which I received from her and for which I am truly grateful.
This short training session has taught me aspects that I would hold on to for a lifetime. The money spent was only a part of the deal, the knowledge imparted is, in actuality, worth much more.” – Jiyaa Arora

Jiyaa welcomed the opporunity to try out the brilliant Fuji XT1 too, it’s honestly the easiest camera to use with newborns; the combination of light weight and the tilt screen makes overhead shots a breeze.
Praksha Maharaj - Wow. I love it. Well done Jiyaa
